Player of the Round

Player of the Round

Some of the future stars of English football will feature in this year’s Checkatrade Trophy, and you can help recognise the best player from each round.

This season sees the return of the Checkatrade Trophy Player of the Round award. Giving you, the supporters, the chance to have your say on who impressed you most following each round of the 2018-19 Checkatrade Trophy.

An independent journalist alongside a panel from the EFL and Checkatrade will select the five worthy players to make up the shortlist, with the final winner being chosen based on the fan vote.

Every fan who votes for the winning player will be entered into a prize draw, with one lucky supporter getting the chance to win two tickets to Wembley, the home of football, for the Checkatrade Trophy Final in April. Voting will take place on this site so keep your eyes on @CheckatradeTrphyand your club’s social media channels.

The Checkatrade Trophy has provided a platform for many players to really express their talent at the senior level, including Jordan Maguire-Drew who impressed for Lincoln City in the early rounds, winning Player of the Round, before the Imps went all the way to Wembley and were crowned Checkatrade Trophy champions.
